Our Missionary

First Baptist Church believes that whatever work we do to spread the Gospel where we are, we must also find ways to participate in sending the Gospel to the uttermost parts of the Earth. To that end, we have been blessed with the opportunity to help support a foreign missionary: Amanda Benson. 

Amanda has been serving at Faith Academy in Manila, Philippines, since July 2015, primarily teaching 7th and 8th grade math and English. Amanda is passionate about discipling her students as she teaches them. She loves building relationships with her students. She participates in many school activities, including leading a Bible study, coaching cross country, and being a part of the pit orchestra for the school musicals. As a teacher at Faith Academy, Amanda educates the children of missionaries so that their parents can do the job God has called them to do.
